Sharing Some Motivation
Over the weekend I caught the motivated bug. I had no obligations for the whole 2 days and planned to use that to my advantage. As a result, I was able to cross some things off my growing to-do list, writing this entry included. Oddly enough, motivation was what motivated me to write this post, however it wasn’t my own. When I got home from work today, I checked my email to see a message from my girlfriend exclaiming, “GET ON SKYPE NOW!”. I promptly followed her instructions to learn that she had just found out about a job opening that was right down her alley.
She had already called her references and was getting her resume in order to apply for the position as early as possible. She was really motivated. As I was talking to her I soon realized how infectious her energy was. I immediately wanted to start accomplishing things. Should I read a book, do the dishes, write a blog post or go run a marathon? So little time, so much motivation. As you can see, I chose to blog. You may be asking why I would choose to blog, when another activity might be more immediately gratifying? Well the reason is because I wanted to share the same motivation that my girlfriend passed on to me. Even if my enthusiasm didn’t light the same fire in you, I urge you to seek out something that will and make sure to share it.

I had no idea that my excitement and motivation had so much power. I’m glad I rubbed off on you! Also, thanks for the shout out, or, as you would put it… “That’s me!”
Well, maybe it will motivate someone to comment on this post. Otherwise it is kind of lame that I have to rely on my girlfriend for comments. I guess my mom would be more lame.
Gee… thanks.
